Ah! My Goddess Manga/Oh My Goddess! Manga
ああっ女神さまっVolume 40 Chapter 250
Ah! My Goddess Ch. 250 Manga Review
SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:
Chibi-Hild kisses Keiichi and he demands to know why she did that. Since Hagal knows where chibi-Hild is at, she has dispatched a small army of mini demons to attack and Hild is countering this by using Belldandy’s jealousy storm, which happens automatically and blows all of the demons away. Urd snaps Belldandy out of it and chibi-Hild has her “broom” Dragon Flame Death Heart take Keiichi away. Belldandy, Urd, and Skuld follow and the four enter the portal and are gone.
Lind and Peorth are not amused that chibi-Hild has stayed behind with Lind realizing that the Daimakaicho had no intentions of entering Niflheim. Peorth and Lind both demand to know what Hild is up to. In response, chibi-Hild kisses Lind on the lips to her great shock and tells her that they are going to get along fine.
Thoughts/Review: For today’s trip back to the archives of forgotten AMG favorites, we have the Belldandy “Jealousy Storm” special. Yes indeed, Belldandy, who hasn’t kissed Keiichi on the lips in what seems like forever, doesn’t want anyone else kissing Keiichi. If you kiss him, she’ll get jealous, subconsciously cause a storm to whip up, but then she’ll be OK once she’s brought around as if nothing bad happened. Since Fujishima-sensei seems keen on wrapping up the manga by touching old forgotten favorite characters and even abilities, I’m letting this one pass with only a sarcastic remark. ^_~
I mentioned last chapter that I was a bit disappointed that Lind and Peorth wouldn’t be entering Niflheim and I hoped they wouldn’t be forgotten. With chibi-Hild remaining on Earth, it looks like the story will have two prongs — the Niflheim story with Belldandy, Urd, Skuld, and Keiichi then the Earth story with chibi-Hild, Peorth, Lind, Mara, and Welsper. This could be very interesting.
Other than for fanservice reasons, I wonder why chibi-Hild kissed Lind for.
So a fun little chapter that doesn’t do much but does move the story forward just enough to get the two parties set. I do look forward to seeing where Fujishima-sensei goes from here.
So is it CLEAR that Fujishima is finishing the OMG! manga or are just assuming this? I’m asking because I swear if he was truly ending the manga there would be a big announcement about this.
My assumption. I think he has been on a farewell tour because he’s been bringing back long forgotten characters for a long time now. This story has the markings of a “go out with a bang.”
Assuming I am correct, that no announcement has been made does not surprise me. Most people felt that Inuyasha was coming to an end well before the official announcement was made.
In case you didn’t know 248 is out.
And on the subject of rapping up the series, I think it would be cool if Keima and Takano showed up during this arc.
I doubt this is the end. You would think that the series would end with some kind of fun, romantic and at the same humorous wedding/marriage type story arc. One where before the actual wedding would be trouble due to meddling of good intentions and also mischievous intentions.
Anyways, it is now up to chapter 255 into 2010 and it doesn’t seem to be an end yet.
It at times feels like Fujishima-sensei is taking a long goodbye trip though. ^_^
